Tele pics by Anna Lorentzson

Exhibition starts 19/3 2011.

Sometimes experimental photography just happen more or less by itself. I was playing around with a telescope trying to get a camera to work with it. When I found a old digital camera that had a small lens that could fit somehow in the telescope. The very small depth of field of the telescope combined with the ability to move the small lens around, made some strange photos.

The dreamlike quality of the pictures fascinated me and as I was lugging the telescope around in the garden I found stranger and more abstract pictures. The telescope shows it´s pictures upside down and that made it easy to keep the feel of the photos.

I could probably edit some photos in a paint software and get similar effects but if your a photographer you want it to be the real thing. Light thru lenses. So no editing in the computer I have only turned them around and trimmed them to find the best presentation. Many was good enough to show as they are.

The camera is a HP 3.2 mpix the first digital camera I bought. Not really the high resolution you can work with today but now I am happy I did not throw it away. I think I will put it among my old analog camera collection sometimes I use them to shake up my creativity.

I hope you enjoy my experiment and the exhibition.

After two major breakdowns the new joomla site 1.7 is up and running. Still some backend problems but it is working now. I do a new template tomorrow. All plugins work and i have to see if i use the social connections they ofte take to much server power.

Work goes on.

As computer was getting stronger i started to do experiments with writing graphics software.

Software that was using random dynamics to create pictures or 3D citys.

Graphics software was getting better and less expensiv so i made pictures from photographs, scanned and layerd.

I was working as a freelance programmer and web creator relly learning my trade as a computer artist and for a while I created databases and wrote the software that showed statistics in a nice graphic way. I liked it but wanted to go back to being a artist full time. So I did.

At the time Microsoft had a web system called activX i wrote a componenet that created new pictures everytime the page was opened.

I made many programs building on a random number to create something.

My company at the time was called Ultimate snowfall Design. I think it is the best company name i ever had but i also liked Cybernetic worlds and some other crazy companys i have owned.

I am still using some of the pictures i made as wallpapers on my computers.

I put some of them up in the download section.

I have made some software that created 3D citys from a random seed and new graphics cards and computers really started a revolution in gaming and virtual worlds.

I have always been a gamer. I wrote my first game on a Lambda 16. Z80 processor, 16k ram and a rubber keyboard that said pip everytime you pressed a key.

I love games and i always have. But i was not prepaird for the very new. Virtual worlds and Second life. It just blew me away completly. After my first half hour in Second life I had a account, some land and i lived more in SL the first year than in real life. I partyed ,created and made friends. It was great.

I am still in Second life and i am still creating stuff. If you want to know more you can check out my virtual game company at http://www.2worlds2go.com .

I make exhibitions in my gallery and more people or avatars see my work now than in real life.

I enjoy the creativ side of the new web 2.o and i am staying.

My very first website. This is almost like the original code. Screens was not very wide at that time 640px.My web magazine was publish at Yahoo/Geocities one of the first free web spaces. It was all about me i was as self centered then as i am now. In three months the counter hit 300000 hits. I do not know if it was a error or i really was a succes. No one ever told me.
